Overview
Provides learners with the knowledge and understanding of how to improve athletic performance, through a systematic approach developing athletic qualities such as speed strength and power, as well as reducing sporting injuries.
This course can be started at any time, our courses are delivered 1-2-1 so you will have your own dedicated tutor, you will arrange sessions at mutually convenient time so you can complete the qualification at your own pace.
Entry Requirments
Learners should be competent in literacy and numeracy to help with elements of communication.
Learners must have completed a Level 3 in Personal Training qualification.
Modules
The aim of this unit is to develop the knowledge and understanding of the biomechanical, physiological and psychosocial factors that can affect an athlete’s sports performance.
Programming strength and conditioning activities for sports performance
This unit aims to develop the skills and knowledge required to be
able to understand skill acquisition, the scientific principles underpinning
sporting performance and the principles behind programming strength and
conditioning activities.
Delivering Strength and conditioning for sports performance
This unit aims to develop the skills and knowledge required to be
able to deliver a range of innovative strength and conditioning activities.
